Paul Blumer began Food For Life Ministries in 2002 after the Lord changed his life. Paul began reaching out to the homeless in Greenville one at a time. God later provided a place where people could come and receive two forms of food, spiritual and physical. The group quickly outgrew where they were meeting, so God provided a larger facility at Triune Mercy Center. Anywhere from one to several hundred people gather every Tuesday to fill up on God's Word and tasty food.
The ministry has now expanded to providing backpacks with essential goods to the homeless and to overseeing The Petra House, a transitional home for the homeless. Paul, his dad Marc, his mom Bonnie, and his wife Charity are committed to seeing positive, Christ-centered change happen in the lives of those without home in Greenville, SC.
Paul also runs Streetside Express Cafe and Catering. The cafe serves delicious, fresh sandwiches, salads, and soups. The selection of deserts available will put a smile on your face. Streetside can also cater your special events, providing you with food your friends will be talking about for months to come. So stop in for lunch or arrange food for your next event.
Off The Coast Ministries currently assists Food For Life Ministries in two ways. The first way is by promoting the need for volunteers on various Tuesdays. The second way is by promoting specific needs, such as food and clothing, that arise throughout the year.
