Junior Achievement works with businesses and educators to introduce students to the world after school. Volunteers enter a classroom for an hour a week to interact with students and teach them the economics of life. This is done through a hands-on curriculum that engages the students to learn about entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy. Elementary, Middle, and High School students learn through specific age appropriate lessons. By using local business people, students learn from more than just the curriculum. The volunteers apply life learned skills to the lessons they teach.
Off The Coast Ministries wants to help locate volunteers for Junior Achievement by promoting the organization and assisting with fundraising events. Please take a look at their website for more info about Junior Achievement and how you may be a part of making a difference in a child's life.
