Time for an update everyone! It has been awhile and there is so much to report on with Off The Coast Ministries. I can’t believe that summer has already passed and fall is just around the corner! Where has the time gone? For real!
OTC has been keeping busy to say the least during these past few months. The “Young Adults Living Life” group has taken off quite well to our surprise. Focusing on monthly social activities, late night Bible studies and volunteer projects we have been able to reach out to a wide range of individuals in the 18-35 yr old age range.
OTC has added a new team member if you will to its roster. Phil Biesser has graciously been able to commit to heading up our “Fuel Up on Tuesdays” late night Bible study that meets bi-monthly at Liquid Highway coffee shop on Main St. in the downtown Greenville area. It has been an amazing journey following him and his passion for Jesus. The Lord has been using Phil for His glory and I cannot wait to see where Jesus takes him. To learn more about Phil please check out his website at: www.philbiesser.com.
Other exciting news that has taken place this summer is co-founder Tory Almond was able to take a two-week trip to Newquay, England to do some research and networking for our young adults conference that we will be holding there in May of 2010! We are currently working on securing our speakers, musicians and other leaders from the states as well as England that will take part in this event. Details are underway and the planning process has begun. More information on this will follow at a later time. Please continue to check back!
Finally…The Greenville Cargo project! The container is here in Greenville and the transformation process of the 40ft Cargo Shipping container into a functional daycare center has begun! To learn more about this project and how you can help please check out: www.greenvillecargo.com.
That is all I have for now. I will be updating this on a more regular basis. Continue to follow us on Facebook and twitter for more frequent updates and ways you can get involved. Feel free to contact us at any time and your comments are always welcomed.
